Echolink on our system.

We currently host Echolink on our repeater system as Node # 1124 under the callsign NA1RA-R. This node is connected to our 441.850 repeater in Washington and is "distributed" to the rest of the system over the links. You can access the Echolink on any of our repeaters at any time due to the full time linked infrastructure of our system.

The following is the list of "associated" node numbers:

Main Node: (Always connected to the repeaters, almost always on) Node #1124 Callsign NA1RA-R.

Demo Node: (May be connected to the repeaters at times). Primarily used during demonstrations or club events, may also be used to provide linking during emergencies if available. Node # 146730 Callsign NA1RA-L.

Trustees node: (Used personally from the laptop while traveling). This is provided here so that I can be contacted if needed while away. It is also used to monitor the repeater system remotely, and may also be used during a demonstration. Node #48111 Callsign WJ1D.

Important information regarding Echolink:

IMPORTANT UPDATE! - The NA1RA Echolink system no longer accepts many foreign stations. This is due to the excessively high occurrences of noise, unidentified keydowns, languages we do not understand, and immediate disconnects. All these are against FCC rules for the Amateur Radio service and prohibit our control ops from doing their jobs effectively. Special arrangements can be made to allow a foreign station to access the node if requested in advance by a member of the club. We currently accept connections from the following locations, United States, United Nations (4U stations), United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Bahamas, Marshall Is., and St. Lucia. These are subject to change. Also, members access codes can call any node anywhere as these security settings do *NOT* apply to outgoing calls at this time. If someone connects to our node and does anything that is not in the spirit of Amateur Radio, we need to know, email the control op.
